Concerts
Living with a physical disability within an able-bodied society is a constant balancing act walking the thinnest of tightropes.
Or at least would think so. I’ve never been good at balancing or walking. Thank you brain damage.
This was my view for the main act of a concert I went to last night with my mom, aunt, and cousin.
My mom wanted to say something as soon as my view was obstructed. I didn’t
I only hesitated in saying something because I bought the tickets for the opener which I throughly enjoyed.
My cousin and I have a shared love for the opener and I wanted to win some cool older cousin points. Which I think I did.
When the main act came on and my view was obstructed I didn’t say anything because I didn’t really care about seeing the main act, and they obviously did.
And I know they weren’t purposely blocking my view. I don’t think they even realized I was behind them. They were just people enjoying a concert.
But what if it was an act I cared about?
I’m just saying I have the right to enjoy concerts too.
